Doctrine

A state is a territory with a population that establishes its rules. Recognition is opinion; the ground is a ledger of facts.

The first rule is the token — what is money here. Capital stock is the market’s running verdict on the rule-set.

Sovereignty is a stack of rule domains, not a binary. States trade on a market for inhabitants and capital — borders and citizenship are microstructure.
